We feature demo golf clubs and custom fitting so you can make sure the clubs you purchase are the correct ones for your game. You’ll also find a professional, friendly and helpful staff to assist you in all your golfing needs.  Our resident Golf Professional, Brian Godfrey, and his able staff are here to help you with your golf game and provide the kind of professional instruction and advice that our members and their families have come to expect from Long Beach Country Club.  From advising our members and their guests, to providing group instruction and private lessons, Brian and his staff will help make your golf game even more enjoyable.

Brian is our resident PGA Head Golf Professional, ready to assist in your golf game.  He has extensive experience in teaching the game to players of all abilities and takes great pleasure in watching players improve their games.  He is involved in the PGA of America’s Grow the Game program and serves on the President’s council to grow the game.  He has been the recipient of the prestigious Merchandiser of the Year award awarded by the Indiana PGA.

New to our golf shop staff is Assistant Golf Professional, Kyle Cashmer.  Kyle is a graduate of Purdue University and worked for four seasons as an assistant golf professional at White Hawk Country Club in Crown Point, IN.  He is currently registered in Level One of the PGA Professional Golf Management program and is an excellent teacher of the game for both beginners and advanced players.  Kyle and his wife Brianne, who is an elementary school teacher in Valparaiso, reside in Chesterton.  Please stop in the golf shop to introduce yourself to Kyle and welcome him to Long Beach CC.

Julie has returned in a limited role as the merchandise buyer.  She will continue to use her expertise in selecting the latest in fashion and accessories for women and will be in charge of the visual display of merchandise in the Golf Shop.  Julie has been the buyer for a women’s boutique in South Bend and her skills in that area have been a hit with the ladies at Long Beach.

Products carried in the golf shop include not only golf clubs and equipment, but casual and fashion apparel for men and women.  Demo sets and clubs are available for your use, so you can actually play with them on the course to find out if the equipment is right for you.  We will be utilizing a Titleist club fitting system for this season.  Club lines carried for 2006 will be Nike, Titleist, Cobra, Callaway, Taylor Made, Cleveland, Ping and Wilson.  These represent the most popular lines used on all the professional tours.  Men’s clothing lines will include Adidas, Fairway & Greene, Ashworth, Nike, Greg Norman, Gear, Robert Trent Jones and the fashion lines of Nat Nast and Robert Graham.

Soft Goods lines carried for women will include EP Pro, Adidas, Nike, Liz Golf, Lord Daniel, Astra, Tommy Hilfiger and the fashion lines of Neesh, linQ, red engine, Leonard Cohen, tke, Weston Wear and Robert Graham.  We will also carry a number of different accessory lines including Harvey’s Seatbelt Bags, Moda Italiana bags, Derin International, mojowear and  Life is Good among others.  We will once again offer a great number of styles, looks and prices that will satisfy a variety of tastes.
